RRRRRRRRRAAA VICTORY

This has been the bane of my existence since idk early September I think. I still don't even know if I'm happy with it but I AM DONE WITH YOU FANTASY MAN. NOW STAY IN THAT BED (WHERE YOU BELONG LOL) WHILE I GO ELSEWHERE.

This was commissioned by my homeburger ~letsseeaction. He gave me a bunch of rad characters to choose from and I love(d) this guy so I picked him. Actually I had a really tough time with him the first time I drew him too. IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE I GUESS..... /MESSY BREAK UP

HUGE THANKS to everyone who helped me with this! I whipped out one of my life drawing books again and relearned shadows, since obviously it didn't stick the first time. I had even highlighted the section on shadows - I felt like a huge idiot, lmao. Sorry this is so long - but thanks a lot to some FurAffinity people who critiqued this and to *tamasan who actually went out and found me some photos of blue faux fur to help with colours. That was really helpful and kind of you - thanks a lot!

I would also like to thank my parents for birthing me and giving me the chance to enjoy food and sleep and drawing this guy... lmao

Fantasy Man belongs to ~letsseeaction
Media: Corel Painter, Paint Tool SAI, Photoshop CS5, and I used *Sullivan's new fur brushes which are truly magical | pretty sure I've spent 28+ hours on this OTL

Most of my few minor complaints are on the character, (You have no idea how many tiger-men like this I saw in my anthropomorphism - not sure if I spelled that right - unit in my 2-D art class. So originality was somewhat lacking) though that's not your fault, so I'm not going to go too far into it. Something positive that I would like to point out is the red velvet that he's lofting on, giving him a somewhat whimsical appearance. I truly admire your technique - you're obviously very talented. My only concern here is that when color reflects off of his wings, I can't tell where it's coming from, so it looks very random. Something positive I would like to point out though, on the subject of light, is that you used it to create more depth, and you shadows turned out fine. I'm a fan of the gradient background, though I don't think the bluish-green contrasts very well in the overall scheme. Something slightly more acidic-looking would help the other colors look much more drastic and appealing.
