Wow guys thanks for the answers about the commission thing. I was making QQ because I thought nobody participated but when I checked my dA at school as an unregistered user I could see the results! Apparently I have to vote myself to be able to see what other people said, which doesn't make much sense, but thanks for the eight people who answered! I didn't know I had that many friends, to be honest... lmao.

Anyway, I kind of like the anonymous thing and I might become a poll ho now that I've tried it. I'm really curious why and why not people are (or are not) interested. But really I'm so thrilled people are willing to buy my arts I'm having a geeky 12 year old squeal moment. Thanks friends!

I've been thinking about this for a while and I'm finally ready to sell my arts. Would anyone be interested in commissioning me? Not right now, but in the near future? Please don't say "I would be I have no money" - I don't need excuses, just a simple yes or no! Now that I have a goal in life again I'm feeling energized! Anybody want to do an art trade with me ? I'll try anything as long as I don't find it somehow offensive.

I think it's so sad this is going to be my third journal of 2009, when every other year I had at least a million and a half because I could never stfu.

Anywho, I've kind of accepted the fact that I'm out of the online art thing. Art wasn't offered in my school growing up so I used a message board and then this place to show my stuff and learn how to improve. I tried to get into a private school because it had art but I failed the entrance exam lmao. -_- (Obviously they wanted smart people and not art people... lol) I also don't really like how stuff seems to fall into a popular style here, but mostly I don't want to be severely influenced and accidentally plagiarize and realise I'm totally unoriginal or anything.

So! I've decided my new goal in life is to graduate and move to Australia. I'd like to do concept art as well as animation and design some freaky ass monsters or something. My plan (and I don't know if this is realistic at all lol) is to first magically get rich and apply for jobz, THEN because I'm Canadian and part of the commonwealth thing I can live in Britain, Australia, or New Zealand for up to six months I think. I talked to this alumni guy who said you had to be crazy good to be hired in another country (they pay for your visa and all), BUT I think I would have more of a chance to stay if I was there already, in the middle of something, and good enough for them to want to keep me.

So if anyone is/was interested in what's been up with me, there you go. I'm definitely not saying anything bad about online art communities, just to clarify. I absolutely loved it when it was right for me. It was also better when I drew on printer paper and could actually import my drawlings onto the computer without them being mutated. When I'm king I'll make scanners that work with acrylics and are larger than A4.
